For the past 2 weeks i've been incapable of using my quest 2 on my PC via LINK Or AIRLINK on the windows 11 dev build in the insider program, this ran nicely in windows 10 but i have issues here.
I miss a good 40-70% of my frames, 120HZ feels like 24HZ, movement is extremely jarring.
According to the debug tool, this is the result of the compositor missing frames at a rate of 50-70/second due to missed vsync?
I have a HTC vive which runs absolutely flawless on the otherhand @ 90HZ with no dropped frames at all so there is a major conflict here i can't seem to resolve/locate, all that i know is that it's aparrently related to windows 11 & the oculus compositor, so if anyone else here runs W11 & have resolved this please comment what you did to fix this.
i run W11 as an early adopter so i'm aware issues like these Will always be a thing.
My specs include:
OS: Windows 11 [Dev Build]
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 [OC'd @ 3.82GHZ]
MOBO: ASRock B450M HDV R4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB CL16 2X 8
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1660 [OC'd 170+MHZ core +650 Memory]
PSU: Corsair CV450
i've attempted these fixes to no avail:
Rolled back nvidia drivers to 466.777 (Currently running 471.41)
Various nvidia control panel settings, V-SYNC = FAST – Prefer Maximmum Performance Etc
Defaulting BIOS settings & modifying settings
Latencymon shows no latency issues [i Did have some, but i fixed those today w/ new drivers]
Reinstalling Oculus's software
Closing ALL software except oculus's software & core processes
Defaulting all OC's to default stock clocks.
Fiddling with the oculus debug tool, disabling ASW, etc you name it i've probably done it.
Uninstalling the quest 2 Via device manager.
Setting the priority for oculus's software to High & Realtime in task manager.
Default oculus resolution & refresh rate settings in software etc.
Latest Windows Update
Sorry for the wall of text! Just making sure i make it clear i've done every major troubleshooting step i'm aware of & am out of options now.
