My son was fortunate enough to be born in January and took advantage of that fact this year to combine his Christmas and birthday gift money into purchasing a Rift S. It's stopped working in May, and all of my troubleshooting as well as the troubleshooting which u/OculusSupport has walked me through points to a bad cable. Easy fix to replace it right?
When support asked for my shipping address, etc., my kid was pretty happy knowing that he'd get to use his Rift S again soon, but the next day, support "needed more time" to "explore options" and "possible further troubleshooting steps."
WTF?! We've done everything that we can do. We've updated everything, and then reinstalled everything. We sent logs to show that the cable is not working and that the problem is NOT his PC because nothing else he uses becomes "unrecognized" when he plugs it in.
Just send us a damn cable!
